Conservation Stewardship Award

Long Point Region Conservation Authority is always seeking nominations for the annual Long Point Region Conservation Stewardship Award and would love to hear about people or groups making significant contributions to conservation in the Long Point Region watershed.

Nominate a neighbour, friend, colleague, school, business, community group or organization that you feel has made a significant contribution to the environmental health of the Long Point Region watershed.


Eligibility

The Long Point Region Conservation Stewardship Award recognizes projects that have been completed within LPRCA’s watershed. The deadline for nomination submissions is in January each year and the award is presented during LPRCA’s Annual General Meeting.

Eligible projects can be first-time or long-running initiatives, including but not limited to:

    • Erosion control;
    • Stream improvement;
    • Wetlands conservation;
    • Tree planting and forest management;
    • Fish and wildlife habitat improvement;
    • Conservation education;
    • Financial donation in support of an environmental project; AND/OR
    •  Any other work contributing to the conservation of natural resources within the Long Point Region Watershed.

Submitting a Nomination

Nominations are accepted throughout each year until the deadline date in January. To submit a nomination,  download the nomination form and either:

    • Mail the completed form to the LPRCA Administration Office at 4 Elm Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 0C4;
    • Fax the completed form to 519-842-7123; OR
    • Email the completed form to jking@lprca.on.ca.

The nomination deadline for the 2023 Conservation Stewardship Award is January 21, 2024.
