Join us for a unique double feature showcasing the traditional processes of turning wheat into flour and wool into fabric. It’s a hands-on exploration you won’t want to miss!

Field to Flour: Experience the entire process of turning wheat into flour. See demonstrations of cutting and flailing of wheat, an explanation of grinding wheat into flour in the Backhouse Mill and the making of bread, or other food productions.

Field to Fabric: Visit the Norfolk Fibre Art Guild at the Mercantile Building as they give demonstrations on spinning wool into yarn and weaving their yarn into beautiful fabric creations.

Come see demonstrations of fleece preparation, spinning, weaving, felt making, and other fibre crafts. Visitors may also shop the large selection of unique handmade items for sale.
