Bring your own picnic lunch to the Canada Day picnic event in the village! Limited picnic tables will be provided.

Visitors can look forward to a wide array of activities, including:

Pie-Eating Contest: We will be holding two competitions: one for kids, and another for adults! Participants will be drawn at random.

Historic Games & Activities: Challenge friends to classic lawn bowling, croquet, or the “Game of Graces”.

Souvenir Crafts: Create your own commemorative Canada Day streamer wand or craft a custom souvenir card using Backus Mill stamps.

Pioneer Dress-Up & Photo Op: Step into the past by trying on traditional pioneer clothing and snap a commemorative photo in front of the historic mercantile.
