DESCRIPTION:After a hiatus of 5 years\, the beloved War of 1812 Re-enactmen
 t is back!\n\nJoin more than 200 soldiers and settlers as they set up camp
  for the annual War of 1812 Re-enactment. Each year on the weekend followi
 ng Labour Day\, historical re-enactors converge on Backus Heritage Conserv
 ation Area for what many people view as the highlight of the year – the 
 War of 1812 Re-enactment.\n\nBattle demonstrations will take place on Satu
 rday &amp\; Sunday.\n\nActivities include:\n\n 	\n\n 	battle re-enactments
 \n 	military and civilian encampments\n 	cannon and musket firing demonstr
 ations\n 	childrens militia\n 	Sutler’s Row vendors\n 	historic cooking 
 demonstrations\n 	historic presentations\n 	weaving and spinning demonstra
 tions from the Norfolk Fibre Arts Guild weavers\, products will be availab
 le for purchase (September 7th &amp\; 8th\, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm)\n 	perio
 d demonstrations and activities in Backhouse Historic Site\n 	tours of the
  1798 Backhouse Grist Mill\, the mill that didn’t burn during the War of
