Long Point Region Conservation Stewardship Award
Do you know someone or a group that has made significant contributions to conservation in the Long Point Region watershed? If so, we want to hear about them!
The Long Point Region Conservation Authority (LPRCA) is calling for nominations for the first annual Conservation Stewardship Award.
Nominate a neighbour, friend, colleague, school, business, community group, or any person or organization that you feel has made a significant contribution to the environmental health of the Long Point Region watershed.
Nominations for the Conservation Stewardship Award will be open until January 7, 2017.
The Long Point Region Conservation Stewardship Award recognizes first time projects and initiatives or those that have extended over multiple years.
All projects must have been completed within the LPRCA watershed.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:
- Erosion control
- Stream improvement
- Wetlands conservation
- Tree planting and forest management
- Fish and wildlife habitat improvement
- Conservation education
- Financial donation in support of an environmental project, and/or any other work contributing to the conservation of natural resources within the Long Point Region watershed
Nominate a Conservation Steward
Nominations are accepted throughout the year until the deadline date in January.

The Long Point Region Conservation Stewardship Award will be presented during LPRCA's Annual General Meeting in February.
