This site is located 2 miles east of Huron, Ohio, is comprised of freshwater marshes, swamp forests, a barrier beach, upland forests, streams and estuarine waters, and the nearshore of Lake Erie. The 571 acre site contains significant natural species such as American water lotus, Bald Eagle, Eastern Fox Snake, and various migratory waterfowl. The reserve serves as a field laboratory and research facility where scientists, students, and the public can learn about coastal wetlands in a natural setting.
