This 1,350 acre site has diverse habitats ranging from meadows, wet woods to lush marshes and wetlands. The wetlands contain a vast number of wildlife species including Fox Snake, Spotted Salamander, Raccoon, Muskrat, Dragonfly, and Caddis Fly. Over 300 birds have been recorded at the site such as Snipe, Great Blue Heron, Common Gallinule, and Ring-billed Gulls. Waterfowl include Canada Geese, Pintails, Redheads, and Ruddy ducks. Spring migration brings Red-winged Blackbird, Yellow Warbler, Killdeer, Swamp Sparrow, and warblers.
