This 33,000 acre site is located along 22 miles of the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Natural habitats include wetlands, forests, fields in various stages of succession. These provide sites for a diversity of wildlife including coyote, the American Beaver, White-tailed Deer, and Canadian Geese. The area is covered by mixed deciduous forests with pockets of evergreens. Wildflowers and plant varieties range from spring woodland wildflowers, such as Hepaticas and Bloodroot, to late summer Asters and Goldenrod in open areas.
