This 79 acre site is located west of Port Clinton, Ohio and is one of the state's foremost birding areas and is noted for its spring and fall migrations. Great Blue Herons and Egrets are abundant in the marsh habitat. It is one of the few areas in Ohio where the endangered Bald Eagle may be seen. Numerous reptiles, amphibians, mammals, fish and insects also inhabit the marshes including the Fox Snake, Northern Water Snake, Painted Turtle, Green Frog, Bullfrog, Spotted Salamander, Raccoon, Muskrat, and a variety of wetland species.
